Northern Tier 2008 Picture Album #2

We finally arrived at the Northern Tier, Charles L. Sommers Base.	A visit with Don Lee from Tennessee. He’s our Section 6 OA Adviser.	We planned a route through the Boundary Waters.
We checked and packed our gear for the trek.	A little practice picking up a boat could come in useful later.	We finally hit the trail, or actually, the lake. That’s Mike, our interpreter, in the back.
In this part of the country, the Eagles outnumber the Crows.	In the land of 10,000 lakes, water is everywhere. That means waterfalls!	If you look real close, you can see a bear in the middle, near the shore.
The whole “Crew A” gang at Thunder Point.	The “Crew B” gang relaxes at a campsite.	At Eddy falls.
The Fleet!	There were even Lily Pads.	”Home” at last.
A real bed.	If you can’t paddle with the big dogs, stay off the porch.	Crew “A” and Crew “B” at the Bay Post before departure.
