Summer
Camp 2008 Summer Camp Reservations 2008 Leader’s Guide (on youtube, a third party
non BSA site) The McKee Scout
Reservation has a quality Summer Camp program and we welcome you and your
troop to enjoy it with us. Fun, adventure, advancement and challenge,
combined with our facilities and beautiful surroundings, will make your week
at camp most memorable. Whether you have new
Scouts starting in the Baden Powell Program, preparing them for their First
Class Rank, more seasoned campers working on the many Merit Badges offered or
an older Scout who feels he needs to try the COPE Triple Threat, we have a program
suited for your Troop. We provide a safe
environment to strengthen your patrols and have a trained staff eager to
help. You will have a more skilled and knowledgeable Troop as a result of the
week at camp. Our Summer Camp Program has 3
areas of emphasis:
From the weekly “DOG” (Dutch Oven
Gathering) to volley ball, “Cat’s Eye” orienteering, and the Water Carnival,
there is plenty for the individual Scout, or the whole Troop, to do together
in the evenings.
We are excited about the many
changes that are still happening at McKee due to our recent capital
improvement campaign. One of the largest improvements is our new state of the
art, air-conditioned Dining Hall. Menus are planned and prepared by our
on-site registered dietician. Our dining hall will seat 300-360 people at
each meal. Sunday dinner is the first meal prepared by the camp kitchen
staff, each week, and Saturday breakfast is the last. |
